New Delhi (17/5):In observance of World Hypertension Day (celebrated on 17th May), Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, MBBS, MD, DSc (Yoga) C-IAYT, Professor and Director ISCM of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth & Chairman ICYER at Ananda Ashram, Puducherry, delivered a thought-provoking session on “Cardiovascular Health & Yoga Therapy, at MDNIY. In his address, Dr Balayogi highlighted the transformative role of Yogic practices in cardiac rehabilitation and holistic healing. He also reflected on the importance of relaxation practices, sound sleep, and having a solution-oriented approach to deal with hypertension.


The session was also graced by Prof. (Dr.) Kashinath Samagandi, Director, MDNIY, who emphasized the growing relevance of Yoga-based preventive healthcare and integrative wellness in today’s lifestyle-driven world. The deliberations underscored how Yogic practices such as Pranayama, relaxation techniques, a mindful lifestyle, and positive attitude can enhance cardiovascular efficiency, reduce stress, and promote true healing from within.
