Kolkata (23/8):A three-hour free workshop on “7 Steps Ananda Dhara Meditation” was organised by the World Yoga and Meditation Academy, a unit of Pragyan Foundation, at Pragyan Bhawan, Kolkata on 22nd August, 2026. The concept was developed by Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation.
The workshop introduced participants to the seven-step meditation approach, focusing on preparation, bio-energy activation, ideal posture and alignment, deep breathing and relaxation, universal breath connection, expansion and integration through Ananda. The programme aimed to promote inner peace, better health, emotional well-being and a balanced lifestyle through meditation and yogic practices.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished academicians, legal professionals and social personalities. Among those present were Prof. Dr. Tapas Chakraborty, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal; Dr. Samir Das, System Manager of Calcutta University; Senior Advocate Anidya Sundar Das of the High Court, Kolkata; Dr. Sayeedar Rahman, Registrar of Diamond Harbour Women’s University; Dr. Biswajit Bala, Registrar of Maulana Azad University of Education; Swapan Kumar Mallick of IRES; Prof. Dr. Utkalika Sahoo; Adv. Subrata Das; Sanatan Mahakud; Dr. Shakti Mitra; Dr. Harishankar Biswas, Chandan Agarwal, CEO of Pragyan Foundation and several other eminent guests.
A number of participants also attended the workshop, including Dr. Namita Chakraborty, Jyotsna Paul, Geeta Sinha, Tapas Saha, Ratna Sen, Chandrima Banerjee Roy and Dr. Umanath Das, among others.
The programme highlighted meditation as a practical approach towards cultivating a calm mind, improved health, inner peace, greater happiness and a more balanced life. Participants actively took part in the meditation session and experienced the structured seven-step practice.
