Kolkata(28/26): Ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja festival, a special initiative was organised to bring joy and happiness to children associated with the Drawing and Yoga classes run by Vivekananda Adarsh Milan Mandir, Haridevpur, and Sri Ramakrishna Pathachakra, Indrani Park at Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata.
Swami Muktikamanandaji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math Gadadhar Ashram, Bhawanipur, a branch of Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, distributed new dresses among the participating students.
The initiative was aimed at spreading the festive spirit and bringing smiles to the faces of children ahead of Durga Puja. The students received the new clothes with great enthusiasm and happiness.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers highlighted the importance of such initiatives in nurturing a spirit of love, compassion and social responsibility among children. The programme also reflected the values of service and welfare associated with the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda tradition.
The children expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gesture and looked forward to celebrating Durga Puja with renewed enthusiasm.
