Tamil Nadu State Chapter Honoured with IYA’s Highest Membership Contribution Award at Yogotsav 2026

Lonavala, Maharashtra: The Tamil Nadu State Chapter Committee of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) was honoured with the prestigious “IYA Award for Highest Membership Contributions (Best State Chapter in India)” during the 6th Conclave – Yogotsav 2026 held at Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Lonavala, Maharashtra.
The award was received by Dr. S.K.M. Maeilanandhan, Chairman of the IYA Tamil Nadu State Chapter Committee (IYA-TNSCC) and President of WCSC. The honour recognizes the chapter’s outstanding efforts and leadership in expanding IYA membership and promoting yoga activities across Tamil Nadu.


The award was presented by Dr. S.P. Mishra, CEO of the IYA Professional Council Board (PrCB) and Executive Committee Member of IYA, in the presence of distinguished yoga leaders and delegates from across the country.
Also present on the occasion was Dr. Ishwar V. Basavaraddy, former Director of MDNIY, New Delhi, and Governing Council Member of IYA, who joined in congratulating the Tamil Nadu State Chapter for its remarkable achievement.
The recognition reflects the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of the Tamil Nadu State Chapter Committee in advancing the mission of IYA and strengthening the yoga movement nationwide.
The 6th Conclave – Yogotsav 2026 brought together yoga experts, practitioners, researchers, and institutional leaders from across India to celebrate excellence in yoga education, promotion, and community outreach.
