Kolkata (22/1):Revered Swami Vedanishthananda Maharaj, Spiritual Head, Ramakrishna Mission Vedanta Centre, Geneva, Switzerland addressed the students on ‘Indian Culture & Heritage’ today at the Swami Vivekananda auditorium of the Heritage campus. The programme was organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. It was also attended by the students and faculty members of The Heritage College and Heritage Law College.
During the inaugural address, Swamiji spoke about the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda which sums up to be the essence of Indian Culture and Heritage. The erudite session witnessed the live screening of the inaugural session of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya by our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
“Education is the one that can shape the future of India,” said Swamiji during his address in the session. He urged the students to follow the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda where they can find the solutions to all their problems in a very simple and lucid way. Swamiji said that Renunciation and Service are the two things that are the essence of Indian Culture. The session ended with some cultural performances on Ramayana and cultural dance organized by the students of The Heritage law College, Kolkata.
