International Day of Yoga 2026 Celebrated by Pragyan Foundation

Kolkata (24/6):Pragyan Foundation, in collaboration with JAM Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy, celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 at Pragyan Bhawan, Kolkata on June 21, 2026 with the practice of the Common Yoga Protocol and a large gathering of yoga enthusiasts. The program commenced with the practice of the Common Yoga Protocol, where participants actively performed various yogic exercises, pranayama, and meditation techniques under expert guidance. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual health.

The program was commenced by Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation, Mr. Chandan Agarwal, CEO, Dr. Ananda Prasad Maurya, Principal of JAM Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy. Some of the prominent guests were Shri Om Prakash Mishra, Mr. Girjesh Sahu, AGM of Canara Bank, Dr. Naren Pandey, Prof. M. A. Parvez Alam, and Mr. K. S. Adhikari. Participants including Joyanta Paul, Kalyan Maity, Sanghamitra Maity, Susama Jana Mondal, Nikhilesh Mishra, Anita Saha, Rita Dhar, Syed Afroz Hussain, Tapas Saha, Priyanka Sardar, Supriya Das, Geeta Sinha, and Dr. Namita Chakraborty actively took part in the yoga session.

Pragyan Foundation also organized a Seminar on Yoga at the Press Club, Kolkata. Yogacharya Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He encouraged people to adopt yoga as a daily practice for a healthy and balanced life.
