Kolkata, (3/7):On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Anandam Foundation, Kolkata Branch, and KTC Export Pvt. Ltd. jointly organized a grand Yoga celebration at the premises of KTC Export Pvt. Ltd., Doperia More, Kalyani Expressway, Khardaha, on Saturday, 27th June 2026, from 9:30 AM onwards. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 people, including local villagers, KTC Export staff, karyakartas of Anandam Foundation, and attendees from Kolkata.
The programme commenced with three Omkars and the Shanti Path, led by the program anchor, Adv. Arpita Chatterjee. Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Government of West Bengal, Dr. Kalyan Chakraborty, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily lives and highlighted the immense physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga in modern times.
Dr. Arun Kumar Upadhyay, serving as the Yoga instructor, guided the gathering through Surya Namaskar and various mudras with precision and clarity. The sessions were effectively demonstrated by Shri Biplab Mohapatra and Smt. Kamla Banua Debnath, enabling all participants to follow with ease and enthusiasm.
The event was graced by Guests of Honour Kriya Yogi Shri Debabrata Bhattacharjee, General Secretary, Sevayatan, Jhargram; Shri Hemchand Agarwal; and Shri Sampatlal Agarwal. The entire program was presided over by Shri Manoj Das, General Secretary, Anandam Foundation.
Shri Radhavallabh Mandal, Trustee, Anandam Foundation, delivered the introductory speech, and Shri Kamal Agarwal proposed the vote of thanks.
The program was also attended by Shri Anup Agarwal, Shri Vivek Agarwal, Shri Kushal Agarwal, and several other prominent industrialists from Kolkata.
