Kolkata, (3/11): A Health Check-up and Blood Donation Camp was successfully organised by Jadavpur Mandal 2 of Kolkata on November 1, 2026, at Baishakhi Club, Ashok Road, Baghajatin, with the aim of promoting community health and social welfare.
The camp offered a range of essential health screening facilities in accordance with government guidelines. Medical tests, including eye examinations, thyroid screening, blood sugar and haemoglobin tests, were conducted by the Sushruta Foundation, enabling participants to avail themselves of basic health check-up services.
On the occasion, several voluntary blood donors were felicitated by the organisers in recognition of their selfless contribution to this noble cause. Their spontaneous participation reflected a commendable spirit of humanity and social responsibility.
Members of Baishakhi Club also took an active part in organising and supporting the programme, making the initiative a meaningful example of collective community participation.
The camp concluded on a positive note, spreading the message that regular health check-ups and voluntary blood donation are vital contributions towards building a healthier and more compassionate society.
