Mumbai: Prof. Dr. R. Elangovan was recently honoured with the prestigious “Yoga Ratna Award” by Brahmarishi Acharya Upendra Ji, Founder of Antar Yog Foundation, Mumbai, during the 32nd Anniversary Celebration of the New Age Yoga Institute, Mumbai.
The New Age Yoga Institute is one of the vibrant Associate Centres of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) and has made significant contributions to the promotion and dissemination of yoga across the country.
The institute was founded by Shri Nitin Patki Ji and Smt. Sandhya Patki Maa. Over the years, it has created a remarkable legacy by producing more than 40,000 students and 600 certified yoga teachers at the national level.
The conferment of the Yoga Ratna Award on Prof. Dr. R. Elangovan recognises his valuable contribution to the field of yoga and his continued efforts towards spreading the knowledge, practice and benefits of yoga.
