Kolkata (20/8): A three-day residential youth retreat was organised by the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata, from August 14 to 16, bringing together young minds from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
The retreat was attended by participants from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as young professionals. Through a series of spiritual, educational and interactive sessions, the participants were encouraged to develop inner strength, fearlessness, self-confidence, strong character and a spirit of excellence.
The programme emphasised the importance of integrating values, discipline and purposeful living with academic and professional pursuits. The teachings and ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda provided an inspiring foundation for the retreat.
The three-day residential programme offered the participants an opportunity to reflect on their goals, strengthen their personalities and develop a deeper sense of responsibility towards themselves and society.
The retreat concluded with a renewed call to the youth to face challenges with courage, confidence and character, and to strive for excellence while contributing meaningfully to society.
