Heritage Law College Launches “Nyaya Drishti” Journal in the Presence of Hon’ble Justice Chittatosh Mookerjee (Retd.)

Kolkata (16/2): Heritage Law College hosted a distinguished academic event to mark the release of Nyaya Drishti – Journal of Heritage Law College, with Hon’ble Justice Chittatosh Mookerjee (Retd.), Former Chief Justice of the High Courts at Calcutta and Bombay, gracing the occasion as Chief Guest.

In his insightful address, Justice Mookerjee spoke about the journey of building a career in law, emphasizing that establishing oneself as a successful lawyer requires patience, dedication, and sustained effort, often taking at least ten years of focused practice. He also highlighted the significant transformation currently reshaping the legal world and stressed the need for aspiring lawyers to adapt to changing realities and evolving professional demands. Underscoring the importance of constitutional values, he encouraged that the Constitution of India should be included as a key focus area in future editions of the journal to deepen academic engagement and legal understanding among students.

The event witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Shri Probir Roy, Executive Director, Heritage Group of Institutions; Smt. Mamata Chaudhuri (Ray), Former Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Calcutta; Prof. S. S. Chatterji, Director, Heritage Law College; Prof. Souvik Bhattacharyya, Principal Advisor- Education, Heritage, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology; and Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School.

Heritage presented a Maan Patra to Hon’ble Justice Chittatosh Mookerjee (Retd.) for his lifetime achievements in the legal world.
