The first Marua Kumar and Rashmita Naik Memorial Football Tournament, which was being held since the 4th of this month under the auspices of Karlapada Football Club, ended on Sunday. The final match was held between Baliguda and Madhyapur. Baliguda emerged as the champion by winning 3:0 in this match. The closing ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Lanjigarh MLA and District President BJD Pradeep Kumar Dishari, the guest of honour was BJD District Vice President Badri Patnaik, sportsman and retired police officer Santosh Kumar Pradhan, District Council members Dayanidhi Naik and Maruti Kumar Naik, along with committee president Dhruba charan Pradhan, Secy Kishore Juad, members Ashwin Kumar Pradhan, Swarup Pradhan, Arup Pradhan, Bulu Juad, Ashwin Bhati, Gajendra Kumar, Mahendra Kumar, Abakash Chandan, Golak Barik, Kartik Chandan, Rohan Juad, Pratik Pradhan, Tunu Majhi, Sipun Pradhan, Chetak Pradhan, Ketan Juad, Rahul Mirdha, Alok Jal, Sanjay Chandan, Akash Dash, Priyanshu Pradhan, Vicky Jyad who were present and encouraged the players. The sisters of the local Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir sang welcome songs.
