World Homoeopathy Day celebrated by Pragyan FoundationKolkata (13/4): World Homoeopathy Day was observed with great enthusiasm and reverence at Pragyan Bhawan, Kolkata, on Sunday, 12th April 2026. The event was organized by Pragyan Foundation in association with the Pratap Chandra Memorial Homoeopathic Hospital & College Alumni Association, bringing together eminent personalities, practitioners, and supporters of homoeopathy.
A special highlight of the event was the felicitation of Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation, by the PCMH Hospital & College Alumni Association in recognition of his dedicated service and contribution to the promotion of holistic health and wellness. It was also noted with pride that Dr. Agarwal was recently honoured with the prestigious Homoeo Shikhar Award by Arogya Guru, a national Hindi monthly health magazine, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to the field.

The programme was graced by distinguished chief guests including Dr. Rajat Chattopadhyay, President of the Homoeopathy Education Board; Prof. Dr. Mahadeb De, Former Principal of Calcutta Homoeopathy Medical College & Hospital; Mr. Pracheta Majumdar, Member of the Board of Trustees of PCMH Hospital & College; and Dr. Anupam Bhattacharyya, Managing Director of M. Bhattacharyya Homoeopathic Pvt. Ltd. The speakers highlighted the significance of homoeopathy as a holistic and effective system of medicine, emphasizing its growing relevance in modern healthcare. They also stressed the need for continued research, education, and awareness to further strengthen the practice and acceptance of homoeopathy in India and beyond. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment towards spreading the principles of homoeopathy for the betterment of society.
